Tari sat beside Skye, her hand gripping hers tightly. Stone faced and massively protective. Even Cardinal was present and protective. “It’ll be ok love “ she murmured. Trying to reassure her somehow.

Lamar was leaning against the wall of his shop, holding his bat that he had upgraded to having barbed wire around it. And a gun to his side. He wasn’t gonna let Kaine do his...Kaine things.

Tari looked at Kaine and did her best to keep herself controlled. She nodded but she didn’t move from Skye. “ his name is Neo, and is a good few months old now. “ she started and gestured to the carrier. “ he’s able to talk a few full words but not many “

Neo looked over at Kaine and blinked a few times, his green eyes sparkling. The aura he received from Kaine was starting to scare him but he didn’t cry yet.

Lamar stayed on the side lines not going anywhere.

“ Yes, Neo David Weaver “ Tari said in a flat and matter of fact tone. She removed her hand from Skye and wrapped her arm around the owl. Her flesh and blood hand now holding Skye’s hand.

Neo blinked a few times and let out a few whines, he was trying to be brave.

Tari sensed Skye’s distress and rubbed her back with her meta hand.
“Sssssh, I got you , we got you “ she whispered so only Skye would hear. Looking back at Kaine “ yeah her uncle David. He was a great man. “ she nodded but a glare slipped out as a warning.

Neo looked up at Skye “ Mama?” In a concerned sounding tone.

Tari kept rubbing Skye’s back and held her hand tightly “ That’s all he says along with Theo but that’s really it. Little guys like a parrot heh “ she chuckled. “ he’s doing well for his age “ she smiled.

“ Theo!” Neo giggled and clapped his hands.

Tari seemed to take offense to that and she scoffed “ No. I think he’s just smarter then most his age. But our little Robin is in good health, don’t worry “ she huffed.

Neo immediately stopped talking after that, really only the two words he knew.

Tari sighed “ anywho any other questions or anything you’d want to know?” She offered. She looked over at Skye with furrowed brows seeming to know don’t you dare doubt him..it’ll be ok love promise

Lamar piped up “ speaking of, if y’all would like a bite to eat before you guys go let me know “ he nodded. Speaking to both Kaine and the duo

Lamar nodded, sympathy pouring out for Skye “ noted, alright big man just let me know what ya like then “ he said looking back at Kaine.

Tari still kept rubbing Skye’s back. Trying to make her feel safe somehow. “ it’s ok..we’ll get something when this is over , then we’ll cuddle the day away how’s that sound? “ she whispered in a reassuring tone.

Tari caught his gaze then went back to comforting Skye. Neo was still munchin on his hand, he looked over at Kaine again and gave a hesitant wave.

Neo pouted and just zoned off into his own little world. Glancing at Skye and smiling every now and then.

“ soooo, any other questions or things you would like to know ?” Tari asked Kaine as she looked back at him. Again not leaving Skye’s side.

Tari raised her brow, and like Skye she calmed down and nodded.
“ Yeah, it’s a lot to plan for but yeah we are. Hey just be glad you aren’t dealing with all this mess, yknow lots of money, some headaches here and there with relatives all that “ she joked trying to lighten up the situation.

Neo smiled again and actually did start to feel safer.

Tari looked back at Sofia “ shoot you’re right! Yeah I will don’t worry ! “ she smiled. I completely forgotten about that!

Neo giggled since the atmosphere was starting to lighten up.
