She breathed a small sigh.

Sofia gracefully pushed open the door to the pet shop.

"Aaand here we are."

The Bot Boy perked up and snatched Sofia’s TAS Card without a second thought and rung them up.

He then returned the card to her and went to dash off to get a cat carrier. Within seconds time he returned and sat the carrier on the counter.

“ here you go, have a nice day you three!” He beamed, the cat carrier had air holes in it.

Tari beamed and nodded then gave Primrose a kiss on the forehead and sat her down in the carrier. Then zipped the carrier up.

Primrose let out another mrrrow and curled up happily.

Tari grabbed the carrier and beamed.

“ Thank you sir!” She beamed then looked at Sofia. “ Ready?” She asked.

Sofia nodded, then linked arms with Tari.

"Ready as I'll ever be," she replied with a smile. "Aaagh, this is so exciting!"

She leaned against Tari as she walked to the exit.

Tari beamed and nodded frantically as she held tight to the carrier. She leant against Sofia too as they headed off.

“ i knowwwwwww! Like—I love bear don’t get me wrong…buuut I think I’m a closeted cat person “ she giggled “ get it?” She asked with a grin.

"Heh, same! Considering I love both you and Skye... who are just human versions of cats," Sofia snickered. "Lucinia's a dog person, I think... but I know she loves cats, too..."

She paused for a moment so Tari could speak.

Tari blushed at the comment and ducked her head and looked the other way.

“ heh—“ she chuckled “ And yeah I gotta agree with Lu, she had a way with Bear, he seemed to just love her right away. “ she said.

Primrose started to doze off in the carrier.

( smol skip to when they get back to the apartment, or skip to when they visit skye? .,.
also i did some research and on average huskies live about 15 years max so idk if bear would still be alive- ;v; )

"Yeah, he did... " Sofia chuckled. "I miss him..."

She pressed against Tari as she continued to walk, staring ahead for the moment.

( ooof ;-; and when they get to the apartment? I wanna do the siren bit x3 then we can do Skye! )

Tari nodded and returned the gesture.

“ Yeah…same…shame he didn’t get along with me…just goes to show how many things Cardinal screws up. “ she mumbled.

“ Maybe he sensed her?….” She said as she thought out loud.

"Maybe...? I dunno," Sofia sighed. "At least you're all better now though... right?"

She reached out to hold Tari's hand, then squeezed it gently.

Tari blinked and nodded. Returning the grip on Sofia’s hand.

“ Yeah, im better….better than I’ve ever been. But….I’ve gotta be honest, I miss her. It feels weird having my head empty to just myself. And no matter what any of you say….she had feelings…I felt them. But yeah…way better. Though it didn’t help with the two Exabyte people….” She admitted.

Her face fell for a tiny bit.

Sofia's face fell as she listened.

"Tari... listen... even Kaine had feelings. And we all know how he was," she warned. "I'm not saying she was the worst person ever, but... having her in your brain was killing you."

Tari’s face fell more as she listened.

“ You’re right….it would’ve killed me if Skye didn’t do anything. But still….I swear she—-I swear it was like she was trying at least. Heck maybe it was another tactic too….but still..I still feel sorta bad. With Kaine I feel nothing…so…why do I with her?…” Tari asked in confusion as she walked to the car.

Sofia listened to her, but didn't argue.

She wanted to help her solve the issue, but wasn't sure what to tell her.

Sofia did her best to get Primrose settled into the apartment once they returned.

Primrose mrrrowed and got settled in the little cat enclosure Tari helped make with Sofia.

She inspected the blankets and food and water bowls and let out a meow of approval and laid down on the makeshift bed.

She looked up at the both of them and gave them both a slow blink.


Tari beamed.

“ I think she likes it! Welcome home newest member of the md5! Or—-well—more like—-“ she counted on her fingers “ md7?” She giggled in awkward fashion then raised her hand up for Sofia and offered her a high five.

"Yeah, heh!" Sofia replied, returning the high-five. "Sounds about right. Uh... so um... Skybreakers now...?"

She pointed her first fingers together as she tried her best to give Tari puppy eyes.

Tari’s gaze softened and her heart melted seeing the puppy eyes and the pointed fingers.

She giggled softly.

“ of course, I made a promise didn’t I? And you know I don’t go back on them. Or try to that is “ she winked playfully “ Cmon!” She gestured Sofia to follow and darted off to the living room.

Sofia squealed in delight, flapping her hands like wings before rushing after Tari.

She'd been daydreaming about the things they'd do in Skybreakers-- she could hardly wait anymore.

Hoooo boy. Siren Tari. Siren Tari.

Tari heard the squeal and knew she already made Sofia’s day and couldn’t help but giggle happily. She loved seeing the canary like this.

She took a seat, turned the tv on, thankfully the game was still on the screen, it hadn’t switched from before they went to exabyte.

Then she took her respectful controller and looked up at Sofia and spun the controller around on her finger with a beaming smile.

“ ready when you are!” Tari winked.

Sofia put on her headset and laid down on the couch, giving her a thumbs-up before warping in.

She changed her avatar around just a little so she could be human instead of a siren this time.

Then, she spawned herself into the game world-- standing on the shore where Tari's ship was anchored.

( Okay but Steampunk Pirate Sofia still stands )


Tari saw the thumbs up and warped in after Sofia. Her eyes now a pale blue ish white.

She changed up her avatar too, picking her saved avatar from the last time she’s played as a siren. The true blue beta fish one.

And just like that, she warped in fully.


It took her a while to get used to it but now with her meta vision it was wayyy easier. She spawned in the deeper parts of the ocean, but she spotted Sofia clear as day as well as her ship.


She gave a toothy grin and flicked her siren ears, her violet eyes glowing in the dark deep waters.

With that she swam up to Sofia, but stayed hidden in the waters, trying to do a sneak attack.

Sofia gulped, noticing a disturbance in the water. But she couldn't hold back a smile.

She slowly waded into the water, then pushed off the sandy floor of the ocean and swam further into the depths.

Tari noticed that her ‘ prey ‘ was coming towards her willingly. She grinned and swam further towards Sofia. All the while trying to keep a low profile. So she went lower, trying not to create any disturbances.

The more she played…the more the Siren like instincts started to make themselves known, which was odd, but rather helpful. At least she didn’t have to lure Sofia.

She let out a little ethereal hum anyways. Humming a tune as she swam up to the canary.

"Ohhh, mmmama, I am so fucking turned on right now," Sofia muttered, treading water as she listened to Tari's song.

She took a deep breath and tried not to shake too much. "Patience, Sofia, dammit... patience..."

The gentle waves carried her further from shore.

Tari flicked her ears and blushed in a bashful manner once Sofia said that. But she couldn’t help but grin.

Finally, payback for teasing me all day!

With a hard swish of her tail she zoomed forward and brushed up against Sofia’s hip with her side scales. Aiming to one hundred percent tease her.

Oh ho-ly fuck--

Sofia had to cover her mouth to hold back a vocal reaction. Of course Tari went for the hip.

Were... were my scales that slick...?

No, those feel different... she must've chosen a different species...

Tari took notice and snickered to herself. Feeling a sense of pride rush over her.

Payback! Heheee this is fun!

Tari then started to curl around Sofia, dragging her large tail fins along the canaries foot as she circled around her, but didn’t resurface just yet—she made sure to keep a wide space from bumping into her fully.
