“ looks like somebody didn’t leave after all...oh gosh are you ok?!” Tari said as she looked at Sheridan, tone full of concern.

"Y-yeah, actually," Skye inhaled shakily.

"Thank you..."

She rested her head on Tari's chest and closed her eyes, exhausted.

( WAIT-we can still put the kidnap Tari bit in place.
That then would reallyyy set Skye of MWUAHAHA )

Tari nodded again and walked off to the bedroom.

“.....it’s all gonna be ok love. I’ll do everything I can to make it ok. “ she murmured softly. “ we’re gonna take a nap, and gonna take it nice and slow...video games, tea junk food. Take our minds off of it. “

"Uh-huh," Skye breathed, barely over a whisper. "Th-thank you."

Her arms were tucked up to her chest, but they rested limply against Tari's chest.

( Marcus ehe kinda like a form of payback or maybe because it’s Kaine’s orders?)

“ of course, anything for you love. “ Tari murmured as she opened the door with her elbow.

“ allright here we are, nice and easy. “ she said as she gently laid Skye down.

Skye curled up in a ball and shivered again, eyes flicking up to Tari.

"C-could you... could we snuggle? Please..?"

She felt guilty asking after everything she'd done.

Tari frowned in sympathy and nodded.

“ of course love, do..do you want my duck plushie too?” She offered.

Skye nodded, lower lip trembling.

"Y-yeah... if you don't mind. S-sorry... I just... don't really have a plushie of my own, heh... a-and Athena won't let me snuggle her."

She sniffed.

Tari frowned even more and nodded.

Well, now I know what to get her next. An owl plushie!

“ I getcha. And I’d imagine not heh. I’ll be back in a split second “ she said with a loving closed eyed smile and went to search for it. She checked the room cuz it was mostly where she kept it.

Skye curled up in a ball and closed her eyes.

Pathetic piece of shit.

Tari came back within a short time period. She squeezed the stomach area of the plushy with a bright smile and went to close the door again.

“ do you want me to lock it this time too?” She asked.

"Uh-huh," Skye choked out.

She's catering to you, you know. She hates having to wait on you hand and foot. You're making her suffer.

She covered her face, fingers digging into her scalp.

Tari locked the door at that and went to hand the plushie to Skye, snuggling it in to her upper half.

Then she went in and slipped into the bed beside Skye, wrapping her arms around her protectively and snuggling her face into Skye’s neck.

“ mmph...a little better at least?” Tari asked with concern.

I’m so sorry owl...if I would’ve known somehow...Gagh..

I’m sorry love.

"A little bit," Skye mumbled weakly. "Th-thanks baby..."

She tried not to cry.

"Babe, y-you... you don't... you realize you... don't have to do this... right?"

Stupid voices won't shut up and leave me alone..

Tari buried her face into the crook of Skye’s neck and got comfy.

“ ...But I want to. I want to help you...I hate seeing you hurt mentally or physically owl. Besides, bout time I stepped in and did my fair share. I want to do this. “ she murmured reassuringly.

"I-it's... not because you feel guilty, or... obligated to do it, right..?" Skye muttered.

She shifted her position a little, trying to get comfortable. She just... couldn't. She was too restless.

Too vigilant.

“ of course not. I want to help you. You’re my wife ..and even if you weren’t if we were close friends I’d still help you. I also don’t want you suffering like I had...you don’t deserve any of that. “ Tari soothed

“ ....I’d take all of the mental and internal turmoil and suffer that just so you don’t have to if I could, you’re too precious. Too kind and loving and it breaks my heart seeing you go through it. “ she admitted with teary eyes.

Skye broke down sobbing again, too weak to put a clamp on it.

She said nothing in response, just holding the duckie close to her chest and gritting her teeth.

The shivers still hadn't subsided.

Tari frowned in sympathy and gave her kisses on her neck. Some nuzzles here and there..it couldn’t be helped.


“ just let it all out......it’s ok Angel “ she soothed. Hearing the cries were weighing heavy on her heart, her eyes watering up more.

Skye let out a pained wail, which descended in volume and melted into more hiccupping sobs.

Thoughts clouded her mind, drowning out Tari's words with constant nagging and degrading.

She tried to block them out and clawed at her head.

Tari couldn’t keep it in anymore, she let out her own tears but it was silent crying. They were hot and heavy as the wail echoed in her head. She spotted the clawing and went to grab both of her hands in a gentle fashion.

“ no no..ssshh..” she soothed “ it’ll only hurt-“ she hiccuped and tried to caress one of Skye’s hands.

Skye made a weak, guttural sound of protest. She had to rip the stupid voices out.

She had to hurt them... make them go away.

She didn't move her hands just yet. She still had some fight left in her.

Tari kept her grip on Skye’s hands, she didn’t want her to hurt herself.

She moved both of Skye’s hands into her metarunner hand and went to give her tummy rubs.

“ sssh, ssssh...I’m here...it’s gonna be ok. They’re not real...they’re not real...” she murmured.

Tummy rubs never failed to calm her down, and they certainly didn't fail now.

Her breathing became somewhat level as her grip loosened, arms going limp.

The tears still fell, but the cries were dying down now.

Tari noticed and kept on gently giving tummy rubs. She had loosened up her grip for now but still tried to keep a firm hold. She released a shaky sigh.

“ that’s it love..that’s it. I’m gonna get you to ok...y-you’re safe with me. “ she soothed. Her heart was still aching, god did she hate seeing Skye in pain. Anyone for that matter.

Skye had calmed down to shaky inhales and shivers now, trying not to sniff too loudly.

She needed that. As much as she hated to admit it, she desparately needed that.

She said nothing, just loosening her stomach so Tari could hold her better.
