Mara waved back, and took her leave.

Skye pulled the baton from her calf, where one would normally stow a baton. "Collapsed it. Almost forgot to-- but here it is."

Chris let out a sigh of relief. He kissed Skye on the head as thanks. He took the baton from Skye and broke it. “I’m glad that I can count on you to keep up with our stuff.”

"Don't worry, I won't let you fall again," Skye reassured him, starting the engine. 786es were rather speedy bikes-- so she had to be extra careful when taking off.

Skye's eyes widened. That poor young man.

"Don't worry, he'll be fine! Besides, we've got a lot to do, so we'd better hurry and get started."

Skye nodded. This didn't seem so bad.

Zed took Mara by the shoulders. "Thank you. Thank you so, so much-- I could kiss you--!" An awkward pause. "But I won't. That.. that would be weird."
